Apart J werd als 5-jarige voor het eerst uitgebracht op enkele Nationale wedstrijden.
Bij de 6-Jarigen liep hij in de Nationale cycles 5 op 8 dubbel foutloos. Hij werd geselecteerd voor het Belgisch kampioenschap te Gesves waarbij hij 2 maal foutloos sprong en zich hiermee kwalificeerde voor de finale. Hierin sprong hij fenomenaal met opnieuw een nulronde maar 1 tijdfout.
